Introducing RT Paths
RT Paths is a set of Final Cut Pro X titles that allow you to quickly add animated lines to your videos. Animate paths with up to 3 turns using smooth or linear templates. Adjust the size, width, color and speed of the path with optional end point titles. Manipulate the path in 3D perspective; use built-in vehicles or add your own graphics. Show your viewers how to get there with RT Paths!

Using RT Paths
Add a Linear or Smooth Template to your project. Choose the number of turns and the animation speed. Change the line shape, style and color. Customize the start and ending text and place it anywhere along the path.
Add 3D Perspective
RT Path templates have built-in perspective controls that allow you to adjust the path along the X, Y and Z planes giving you even more control over your path trajectories.
Add Vehicles
Need to add a car, plane or boat to your path animation? No problem; select from a built-in set of vehicle options with plenty of customization options. Use the drop zone for adding your own custom vehicles or graphics.
Join Paths
If you need more than 3 turns, it’s easy to join paths together to create as many turns as you need.

Wow that looks great. I know motion limits the number of turns so can I use multiple paths if I have a route with 10 turns? Great stuff, found you on youtube (sub’d and liked of course).

You can do it by hand, or you can take this plugin and save a lot of time. Very useful plugin! In 90% of cases, it optimizes the time of creating animations of different types of lines on your projects. The only thing would be good to increase the number of gradations of the animation speed in the direction of deceleration. Solved this task by creating a compound clip and slowing it down. Satisfied with the purchase, and I recommend it to you!

RT Paths is another in a line of simple, inexpensive, but incredibly helpful plug-ins from the guys at Ripple Training. Recently faced with the task of creating dozens of animated maps to indicate shipping routes for a client, I was prepared for some long nights creating them all by hand. Imagine my delight when Steve and Mark posted this latest time-saver. With incredible efficiency I was able to not only deliver the route maps quickly, but I was also able to add enormous production value by using images of client’s own fleet of trucks for the moving icon— and was even able to do the routes in a 3D perspective as well.
